Cellist and composer Ivan Hussey presents The Jazz Sessions, the 10th album released under his acclaimed Celloman project.

Joined by two fellow cellists, Ivan explores the warmth, depth and versatility of three cellos through a collection of original jazz compositions. From the cheeky Tango Through to the Grappelli-esque A Touch Tipsy and the beautifully melodic Dark Wine, the trio create an intimate and distinctive sound that has been described by All About Jazz as “a fine reminder of the emotional power of the cello.”

The second half journeys through reimagined material from previous Celloman albums, with new arrangements for cello trio blending North African grooves, Flamenco melodies, chilled-out textures and haunting melodies. As the Evening Standard observed, Celloman’s music “blend[s] jazz, world and classical musics in a strikingly natural way.”
